Port Jefferson CC Member Tee Time Portal Terms of Use

Transactions

You agree that all transactions made by you on the Port Jefferson CC Member Tee Time Portal (“Site”) cannot be exchanged and only refundable based on the Port Jefferson CC Tee Time Policies outlined below. You will be responsible for paying all applicable taxes in connection with your purchase of any tee times. Such tee times purchases shall also be governed by the applicable policies of the Port Jefferson CC at which you reserve such tee times. Please make special note of the course’s no-show or cancellation policy.

Account security

You shall be solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You shall immediately notify Port Jefferson CC at [email protected] of any known or suspected unauthorized use(s) of your account, or any known or suspected breach of security, including loss, theft, or unauthorized disclosure of your password or credit card information. You are solely responsible for all usage or activity on your Account, including but not limited to the use of the Account by any third party authorized by you to use your subscriber ID and password. Any fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise illegal activity may be grounds for termination of your Account, in Port Jefferson CC’s sole discretion, and Port Jefferson CC may refer you to appropriate law enforcement agencies. You may terminate your Account at any time by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. You are responsible for taking precautions and providing security measures best suited for your situation and intended use of the Services and Site. We have the right to provide user billing, account, content or use records and related information under certain circumstances (such as response to legal responsibility, lawful process, orders, subpoenas, or warrants, or to protect our rights, customers or business). Please note that anyone able to provide your personally identifiable information will be able to access your Account so you should take reasonable steps to protect this information. Upon termination, you will receive an automated confirmation via e-mail that the request was received, and your account will be terminated within five (5) business days. You are responsible for all charges incurred up to the time the Account is terminated.

Eligibility

The Site is intended solely for users who are thirteen (13) years of age or older. Any registration by, use of or access to the Site by anyone under 13 is unauthorized, unlicensed and in violation of these Terms. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are 13 or older and that you agree to and to abide by all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

User conduct

In using the Site, you agree: (i) not to disrupt or interfere with the security of, or otherwise abuse, the Site, or any services, system resources, accounts, servers or networks connected to or accessible through the Site or affiliated or linked websites; (ii) not to disrupt or interfere with any other user’s enjoyment of the Site or affiliated or linked websites; (iii) not to upload, post or otherwise transmit through or on the Site any viruses or other harmful, disruptive or destructive files; (iv) not to use, frame or utilize framing techniques to enclose any Port Jefferson CC trademark, logo or other proprietary information (including the images found at the Site, the content of any text or the layout/design of any page or form contained on a page) without Port Jefferson CC’s express written consent; (v) not to use meta tags or any other “hidden text” utilizing a Port Jefferson CC name, trademark or product name without Port Jefferson CC’s express written consent; (vi) not to “deeplink” to the Site without Port Jefferson CC’s express written consent; (vii) not to create or use a false identity on the Site; (viii) not to collect or store personal data about others; (ix) not to attempt to obtain unauthorized access to the Site or portions of the Site that are restricted from general access; (x) not to post any material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy or otherwise in violation of any law; (xi) not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by Port Jefferson CC.

In addition, you agree that you will comply with all applicable local, state, national and international laws and regulations that relate to your use of or activities on the Site.

Port Jefferson CC Tee Times and Reservations Policies

Credit Cards Required on File

To make a tee time through the member portal or in the pro shop, each individual member or family membership is required to have a credit card on file. Without a credit card on file, members will not be able to book a tee time through the member portal or in the pro shop.

Requirements to Tee Off

Tee times are every nine (9) minutes. The official time is the clock installed at the 1st tee. All members of the group must be present, signed in with the pro shop and ready to tee off twenty minutes before their exact tee time. The pro shop will reassign times of those who fail to present themselves twenty minutes before their exact tee time will be assessed a no show fee.

Only one tee time may be reserved for any person per day. Any players wishing to play more than one round in a day may do so at the discretion of the pro shop.

The pro shop is obliged to fill twosomes and threesomes when players are available. The pro shop may, if necessary, reschedule the starting time of a twosome in order to facilitate the flow of play on the 1st tee.

Cancellations and No Show policy

Cancellations or changes of tee time reservations for members and guests are permitted until midnight the night before the scheduled day of play. Failure to make changes or cancellations prior to that time will result in a cancellation fee of $25 per member/guest for both 18 & 9 hole reservations.

Exceptions to this policy might be considered if a member calls the pro shop with a valid excuse prior to the tee time the day of play (if pro shop is not open member can use the member portal to leave a note for the pro shop.)

Pro shop staff and pros do not have the authority to reverse a charge; however, will make note of the reason for cancellation in the system. Charges will appear on the member account and will be reviewed and reversed only by club management.

Legitimate reasons for possible cancellation fee reversal might include unforeseeable circumstances that may arise during the scheduled day of play. These may include but are not limited to: medical emergencies; illnesses or injuries; unexpected work issues, etc. Exceptions will also be made if the course is closed due to inclement weather.

Cancellations will be tracked and reviewed by management to ensure an equitable and justifiable implementation of same.

Lastly, if a member has been charged and feels there was a legitimate reason that was not approved by management, they may bring this to the PJCC grievance committee.

9 Hole Policy

Reservations are for 9-holes ONLY. Players must stop at the 9th hole. (Playing down the l0th hole is only allowed if approved by the pro shop and only if l8-hole players are not inconvenienced. At all times 18-hole players have priority on the 10th tee.) Failure to follow this policy will result in a suspension of golf privileges.

Walk-up Play

Walk-up play will be accommodated at the discretion of the pro shop on a first come first served basis.

General Policies

Range Balls

Possession and/or use of range balls on the golf course is prohibited. Violators may be removed from the golf course without compensation for unused green fee/cart fees. Un-used range balls not to be taken home for next time use.

Dress Code

Proper golf attire is required at all time on the course and practice facility.

Proper golf attire includes:

Shirts with collars

Bermuda length shorts or slacks

Improper attire includes:

Tee shirts, tank tops

Blue jeans, gym or short shorts

Hours of Operation

SEASON

The course will be closed for the months of January and February – no exceptions. Tees and greens may be closed during December and March, earlier or later depending upon weather conditions.

PRACTICE RANGE

The practice range is open daily starting 30 minutes before the first tee time until sunset, with the exception of Monday when it will close at 2:30 pm

TEMPORARY CLOSURE

Delayed opening and temporary closing of the Golf Course and use of motorized carts is at the discretion of the PJCC Pro Shop and the Golf Course Superintendent. In the event of inclement weather, reserved times must be honored until the course is officially closed. If the course is closed or has a delayed opening, the closed tee times are automatically canceled, and the schedule resumes at the time the course is playable.

RAIN CHECK POLICY

PJCC will issue rain checks for players who leave the course due to bad weather based on the following criteria:

• Players with a 9 hole reservations leaving the course prior to start of the 5 hole will receive a 9 hole rain check.
• Players with an 18 hole reservation leaving the course prior to start of the 5 hole will receive an 18 hole rain check.
• Players with an 18 hole reservation leaving the course after the 4 hole but prior to start of the 13 hole will receive a 9 hole rain check.

The Pro Shop may decline to issue a rain check if weather conditions do not warrant discontinuation of play.

Frost and Weather Delay Policy

Following a delay of an hour or less, tee times will go at the original scheduled order of play that day from when play begins. Delays over an hour in length and all times within the delay will be canceled. Players in those times will become standby players.

Reserved Play Schedule

Tuesday: Women’s day 8:30-10:30 AM

The Port Jefferson Country Club hosts a number of approved golf events each season which may preclude individual reservations. Scheduled events will be posted outside the pro shop, two weeks in advance.

Food and Beverage Policies

All food and beverages must be purchased from the course or Port Jefferson Country Club. The introduction of food and beverages to the golf course or tennis courts and grounds is prohibited.

NO COOLERS PERMITTED ON THE PROPERTY. COOLERS WITH ALCOHOL WILL BE SUBJECT TO CONFISCATION.

ALCOHOL CANNOT BE BROUGHT ONTO THE CLUB’S PROPERTY. THIS INCLUDES THE GOLF COURSE OR PARKING LOT.

Failure to follow this policy will result in suspension of golf or tennis privileges.
